Ursula is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and Upledger Diplomate Certified in CranioSacral Therapy (CST-D). She was in private practice in Ft. Lauderdale, FL from 1998 until 2012, and is privileged to have had the opportunity of being a visiting therapist at the Intensive Treatment Program at Upledger Institute from 2004-2009. Ursula relocated to Boulder, Colorado in the early Summer of 2012 where she has continued her CranioSacral/Bodywork private practice. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, and has been working as a counselor since 2015 through integrative family health centers within communities in the Boulder County .
Ursula's commitment to the healing arts began after an injury in 1976. Seeking complementary alternatives led her to Yoga as a means of self-care. Intensive Yoga practice interwoven with her Art and Dance studies brought about a multi-dimensional realization of the connection between body/mind/spirit. Inspired by the positive results of CranioSacral Therapy she received in 1996, Ursula went on to massage school followed by extensive advanced training in CranioSacral Therapy to develop the skills to offer those benefits to others.
Between 2005-2009 Ursula completed training with Dr. Poldi Orlando, founder and director of the Synthesis Institute of Miami. This work focuses on Depth Psychology and Integral Studies through Psychosynthesis, Gestalt Therapy, Therapeutic Imagery and Dialogue, and the Fusion of Creative Techniques. The Synthesis Method also includes Organic Movement, Art and various Meditation Practices. This combination utilizes Ursula's background in Art and Movement while simultaneously complementing CranioSacral and Somato Emotional Release Therapy. These studies and practices led Ursula to Naropa University where she received an MA Somatic Counseling Psychology in 2015.
Ursula blends these teachings into her CranioSacral, Somato Emotional Release Therapy, and Bodywork (Lymph Drainage Therapy and Visceral Manipulation) practice. She has developed Integrative Movement and Multi-Dimensional Creativity sessions and workshops for self-discovery and personal development. These sessions and workshops include: Art, Movement, Therapeutic Imagery and Dialogue, Gestalt Therapy, Creative Visualization, Meditation, Relaxation and Affirmation Practices, and Psychosynthesis. Ursula works with people of all age groups, diversified backgrounds, physical/emotional challenges, including those who simply want to maintain well being.
