During my 30 years practicing massage therapy (since 1992), I recognized that there was more to the human body than the muscular and fascial systems; I wanted to find the 'magic button' that would unravel the physical and emotional suffering I saw in my clients. In 2011 I found the modality that approximates that magical touch: Jean-Pierre Barral's Visceral Manipulation.

I discovered that the body is always 'on the phone', asking for help in releasing a very specific restriction caused by physical or emotional trauma, from long ago or from recent injury. VM allows me to listen to the body, find and release this precise restriction in an organ, nerve, blood vessel or the brain, and restore blood flow and movement to a place that was struggling before.

This work is very satisfying to me; I'm grateful and honored to touch people in such a subtle and meaningful way! My work is all about listening to you and your body on a deep level. I blend my skills in Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy and Sound Healing to facilitate the changes your body is asking for. These shifts can happen in a more integrated way by including your entire being, not just your physical body. My intention is to help you shift from feeling stuck, to being free!

My skills

The trauma from injuries, surgeries and emotional upheaval is often stored (sometimes for years!) as restrictions in the fascial web. This connective tissue web is responsible for allowing your organs, nerves and blood vessels to move and glide, but when there are restrictions in the web, these structures can’t move or function well. This causes pain, dysfunction and disease, and often traditional medicine can’t figure out what’s wrong! Over time, untreated restrictions domino through the body, creating worse symptoms.

I use a holistic combination of visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, energy work and sound healing to find restrictions and help release them with gentle and precise touch. My work is a combination of the anatomical precision of science, and opening to the uncertainty principle of quantum physics and the ancient wisdom of shamanic practices. I use the vibrations of singing bowls, voice, drum and other sound healing instruments to help the body reveal its wisdom to me.

Clients come to me for specific issues, or because something doesn't feel right. Either way, the results they achieve are often decrease in or removal of physical and emotional pain; better movement; and prevention of disease.

As a Contemplative Harpist and Vocalist, I love to help people experience their emotions through music. Music uplifts and inspires us, and opens the heart through words and tunes that express as words cannot, the full spectrum of human life.

My intention is to facilitate that heart-opening process with harp, voice and singing bowls. I'm a classically-trained singer but my passion is to deepen the human experience through intimate contemplative music and sound healing, in home, hospital and hospice. Contemplative music can be used to welcome life in the birthing room; to support the healing process in the hospital or recovery at home; and to shepherd the dying person on to the next phase of life. I hope my music helps you fully experience and integrate the gift of your human life!
