Mint Physical Therapy stands for "manual integrative" physical therapy. Manual integrative techniques are hands-on techniques not often found in traditional physical therapy clinics and include Visceral Manipulation, Neural Manipulation, Visceral Lymphatic Balancing, Craniosacral Therapy, and Healing Touch.

- All genders are welcome at Mint Physical Therapy.
- All ages from birth to end of life are welcome. Renee has advanced training treating children ages birth to 7 years with Visceral Manipulation, Neural Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy (Upledger), and Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (Gillespie Approach) for conditions such as torticollis, birth trauma, digestive issues, and constipation.
What to Expect
- Expect 1 treatment every 3 weeks for up to 6-12 treatments, depending on the complexity of the condition.
- Treatment is 60 minutes 1-on-1 hands-on physical therapy treatment in a private treatment room.
Manual integrative physical therapy works best when combined with other practices to improve and maintain health such as allopathic medicine and traditional physical therapy as well as integrative practices such as chiropractic care, functional medicine, naturopathic medicine, Chinese medicine, acupuncture, massage therapy, nutrition, and exercise.
About Renee (Miller) Bergum, DPT
Renee completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in beautiful Duluth, Minnesota in 2014. She moved to the Chicago area in 2016 to be mentored by Brandi Kirk, PT, PRPC, CVTP in pelvic floor physical therapy and Visceral Manipulation techniques.
After over 5 years of expert-level training, valuable work experience, and extensive continuing education, she started Mint Physical Therapy in 2023 and is currently seeing patients in her own private practice treatment space located within Sleigh Family Chiropractic in Arlington Heights.
