Monica C. Cook, PT, C/NDT

Pediatric Physical Therapist

 

Monica graduated from West Virginia University in 1983.  She has worked as a pediatric physical therapist in a variety of settings for decades.    Monica has extensive experience with children birth to 22, with a variety of diagnoses including Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, TBI and Developmental Delay.

Throughout her career, Monica has gained skills in combining physical therapy interventions with neuro developmental treatment, myofacial release and craniosacral therapy techniques to achieve an integrated and cohesive therapy approach. Monica also has extensive experience in assistive technology, orthotics, mobility devices and seating and positioning. Monica works collaboratively with the child’s family, teachers and other health care professionals to create an integrated team approach to achieve success. 

Monica is married and has two grown daughters.  She enjoys cooking and entertaining with her family and friends.  She loves to swim, travel and plays golf.  She is also fluent in Spanish after living in Venezuela through the Rotary student exchange program.
