Monica is a Certified CranioSacral Therapist with over 19 years of extensive training through Upledger Institute International (UII). She also serves as a Certified Teaching Assistant with UII for a variety of CranioSacral classes around the country.  Monica is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Massage Therapy Instructor with the State of Texas, Certified Infant Massage Instructor, Certified Medical Intuitive, and Certified Meditation Teacher. In her private practice at Mirashift, she administers low impact treatments affecting high impact results, addressing multiple physical issues through CranioSacral therapy integrated with other gentle and effective modalities. 

 

As an experienced Birth Doula trained through Doulas of North America (DONA), Monica has worked as a birth assistant for local midwives and taught a variety of classes in the new mother/family community. She also earned advanced certification training in medical massage for pregnancy, labor and post-partum by completing coursework for Bodywork for the Childbearing Year.

 

Monica’s work integrates various therapies to help everyone from infants and children to adults. One thing that sets her apart from other therapists is her emphasis on educating her clients on the impact that the mind-body connection has on their overall health. She strongly believes in impowering her clients to look at health from a lifestyle perspective by incorporating a variety of tools that help each individual as opposed to a “magic pill”.  Monica’s personal investment to her clients creates a safe therapeutic experience that is unique to her practice at Mirashift.  

 

A mom to three college students and a native Texan currently living in Dallas with her husband, Monica is known by her friends, family and clients for her infectious spirit and joyful personality.

Please be sure to enter the building marked 8340, go through the glass doors, then to the 2nd floor by stairs or elevator, we are the first suite, #232 with a glass door to left.
