Physical Therapist

Carrie is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo with BS degrees in both Physical Therapy and Exercise Science .  She is a licensed physical therapist in NY with over 30 years of experience.

Carrie became interested in complimentary and energy medicine after discovering first hand the healing benefits of Tai Chi classes she began in the late 90's.  She went on to become a Black Belt in White Crane Kung Fu, a Reiki Master and certified instructor in both Yoga and Meditation.  She has studied Ayurveda with Dr Vacent Lad and Sonam Targee.  Carrie teaches yoga and meditation classes at Ritz Mountain Yoga in Livonia N.Y., and as a volunteer in a local prison.   

Carrie is the owner of Carrie Ruffner Body Balance LLC located in Geneseo, NY.  Although her main treatment modality is CranioSacral Therapy,  she draws from  a wealth of experience during her one on one sessions.

Hours of operation / Fees

Initial Evaluation and Body Balance Session  (90 mins)   

Initial Evaluation is a full body assessment looking at posture, strength, range of motion and lines of tension within the soft tissue.  Together we'll set goals and start your treatment. 

Body Balance Session (60 mins.)    

 An individualized treatment approach drawing from the rich practices of Physical Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Energetic Balancing and Reiki, Yoga and Ayurveda, Sound Therapy and Therapeutic Exercise .

As a Physical Therapist in N.Y.S., if you are under the care of a medical practitioner for your current problem and your insurance plan includes out of network coverage, you may receive some reimbursement.  I am an out of network provider and request payment at the time of service.  I'll help submit a claim to your insurance provider on your behalf with reimbursement going directly to you.
