About Me
I have been working as a physiotherapist for 20 years, qualifying in 1995 from Bradford University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and also gained a Masters in Manipulative Therapy in 2002, from Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia. In 2010/11 I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Women's Health Physiotherapy.
In the last six years I have been studying visceral and neural manipulation. Visceral manipulation uses specific techniques to treat problems related to the body's organs that often masquerade as musculoskeletal problems. I also use some craniosacral therapy techniques.
I'm interested in other healing modalities and completed an Energy Field Healing (EFH) Diploma in 2012 and an Advanced EFH Diploma in 2013.
I use an integrated manual therapy approach using gentle and specific techniques to address dysfunction in the musculoskeletal system (muscles/joints/ligaments), the viscera (organs),
the nervous system and the lymphatic system.
By using an individualised and holistic approach I aim to address the cause of dysfunction in the body rather than using only a symptoms based approach.
I'm passionate about assisting other's in their journey to optimal health.
