Melinda Roland M.A., P.T., L.Ac., O.M.D., Dipl-Ac, Dipl-OM, CST-D, holds a B.A. in Human and Experimental Psychology from UCSB with Highest Honors, Phi Beta Kappa; an M.A. in Physical Therapy from Stanford U. with Highest Honors;, and a doctorate in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture,with Highest Honors. In addition, she has studied extensively with the internationally known homeopath, Ananda Zaren. Mentored by Dr. John Upledger, Melinda has taught internationally for The Upledger Institute since 1988 and has been in private practice since 1977.
Melinda's unique approach to patient care combines her extensive background in Craniosacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release, orthopedic and manual therapy, oriental medicine and acupuncture, visceral manipulation, nutritional consult and anti-aging, functional medicine, homeopathy, neuro-muscular re-education, and her own system of complementary healing techniques, Focal Energetics (R). Over the past 40 years, she has developed innovative and effective methods for structural, emotional and energetic transformation, providing significant depth and the foundation for significant change .
